Cats
We have three cats. I love my cats. Odysseus, the first four here, is the most camera shy. When we have people over, he disappears. Telemachus, his brother and litter mate, and Comet, a stray, both love company as long as it doesn't include little children. Then they all hide under the bed in the guest room until at least an hour after everyone leaves. We tell people that we have three cats but most will only see two unless you stay for a while. I may post a few of our first kitty, Shakespeare, who died of cancer in April 2006. We went to our local animal shelter to donate his unused litter and food and we went back to the kitten room. The kitten who would be Telemachus jumped out of the opened cage and into my lap the moment I sat on the floor to play with the kittens. Odysseus perched on my husband's shoulder in a way that could not be ignored so when they were old enough, we brought them home in May 2006. Comet showed up on the back porch on chilly, rainy October day and we couldn't turn her out. Our animal shelter could not take in additional cats so we kept her. We are happily owned by three cats!
