This is the boardwalk that runs the trail. It takes about an hour and a half to walk the trail and back to the pick-up point. It is lush and green and quiet. When I arrived just after 10am, I was the only one on the island and it was wonderful to have the peace and quiet to myself. (2009)

This is an interior shot from the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia. They have a fabulous global collection available for viewing but the most striking collection are 19th and 20th century First Nations totems, boxes and figures. With the strong early evening sun streaming through glass windows, the bold colors show up very well on these artifacts (2006).
